I thought I'd share my recent experience with relocating the plant set-up into the basement.
If you haven't already noticed, basements typically stay a few degrees cooler than the rest of the house and this is ideal for most cool-growing plants such as Heliamphora and highland Nepenthes. I certainly see drastic improvement in all my plants after doing the move so if you're having any issues with keeping the temperature low, it's definitely worth considering.
Here were the temperatures in the terrariums prior to the move:
Lights on: 24C - 26C
Lights off: 19C - 20C
Here were the temperatures in the terrariums in the basement:
