After failing a lot of times, I've gotten the hang of germinating droso seeds! Wish me luck!

Good luck. Persistence pays off. I know how frustrating it can be to see your little seeds just sitting there doing nothing for months on end.

I have a few seeds going on too. They seem to need a lot of light. Even if they sit a few inches from my T5 they look a bit etiolated ...

The method to bruise the seedshell with some sandpaper works most effective. I had many seeds and relative poor germination before. My plants grow extremly well now in the third year. This year I got some seeds from special places and tried the sandpaper method for both sets. More than 50 % already germinated. I keep them outside while there is little or no frost. I have not lost a single plant in the first two years. Now some gave up because the pots are so crowded. But young self sown seedlings come up between. Here is the story about the motherplants. ocps.proboards.com/thread/7778/drosophyllum-sandy-pine-forest-soilNow they flower very much and you cant see the difference between the repottet plants and the ones in the original Pot. There is always some water in the tray. Here is the best information about keeping them a long time alife. sarracenia.proboards.com/thread/608/drosophyllum-lusitanicum-dewy-pine

Sadly, I couldn't keep that seed alive. I think it was drying out too much I'm gonna order more seeds and try again...

I could send you some as a present. Got enough. Keep them as wet as possible. I hope there are no restrictions for canada. Greetings Axel

Nice offer.
For your information, there's no restriction for seeds importation here as long as it is for hobby and no-weedy plants.

So half of my questions are answered. It will be enough seeds to have a fair chance and postage is not wasted for paper. I already have counted the seeds into a zip lock bag plus some spares. Awaiting adress details german post understands
