As you can see, on the Capensis Alba, there's very little dew, and it looks like the foliage is dying off at the ends? The Prolifera, no dew and is actually turning white where it should be red?
I kept a log of temp/humidity for a while which I'll attach to the bottom, PS whenever the light is on, water is flowing.
TDS meter reads 028 PPM, and 75°F for water temp
My friend thinks it might've been because I had nothing reflective around the tank, and that the plants weren't getting enough direct light from my lighting. Lighting is T5 24W 6400K, from the top of the pots to the lighting is 8".
So, I just added some reflective insulation to two sides of the tank yesterday (also redid the waterline situation to make it easier to add more when I get more plants), which seems to have increased the lighting EXPONENTIALLY for the plants. However, because of it, humidity has dropped from the 80%+ AVG to around 50%.
I guess it's just a wait and see at this point but I'm worried whether the huge humidity drop is going to be negative overall and how to improve it?
Am I doing anything wrong or something I can be doing better in general? Thoughts to improve? The inspiration for this tank was just from random YouTube videos, along with the constant water flow etc. I've increased lighting/water to be on from 7AM-9PM instead of 7-7 as well.
