The pods on one of my veitchii "Pa 'Umor, Borneo" have ripened, so it's finally harvesting time! The female plant is a variation from the same pod as the others, this one has red pitchers with a green peristome, while the others usually have red-spotted yellow pitchers with a red and yellow striped peristome, the male plant being the latter. The pods on this plant seem to be producing viable seeds, but the pods on the other veitchii that was pollinated(striped peristome x striped peristome) already seem far more robust, I can't wait to see how developed the embryos are from those.
I would like to once again thank Varun for providing me with the seeds for these plants several years ago, they've been consistent viewing favourites for both me and those stopping by!
I'm offering 20 pods from this stalk for SASE, please have either 50 posts or previous experience with Nepenthes seeds. Good luck everyone!
Thanks Bonfield, You produced seed from a seed grown plant that you grew yourself. amazing accomplishment! Canadian made! I told myself I would not do anymore seed this year but this is just too special.I would be very grateful to try a pod in my Nep seedling area if possible.
I'm glad they did so well Cole. You are a fantastic grower and it is a true demonstration of your abilities to see those plants go from seed to adult to seed. Great job. I also love that you decided to make species seed. Please add me to the list. Perhaps now I can try some of this seed myself. Thanks for providing them.

bonfield: I've decided to finally reveal my best-kept secret for growing healthy Neps: Just spit on them every few days, the enzymes in saliva help them to better absorb the fertilizer I spray them with!
