New to the forum! Have been growing VFT, some sundews and a pitcher plant for about a year but sundews keep dying. Here to get some tips.

Thank you all for the warm welcome. I have this very small drosera capensis that I'm trying rlly hard to keep alive. (In a new pot, kind of dying) It was healthy and growing so I wanted to move to a new pot and then things turned south. (Before it was re-potted. Healthy and green) I don't think it will get over the shock from th change since it's too tiny. But I'm hoping I'm underestimating plants resilience. Btw, this capensis was a gift from a member on this forum.

Those will do better in 1:1 peat:perlite (or better, use coarse silica sand instead of perlite).

If you're growing them on the windowsill, watch out for temperature getting too cold. They can withstand a good range of temperature but won't be too happy.

Good luck with the capensis, I have some 1 month old seedlings that I'm hoping to coax along to a decent size. So far they are smaller than a fruit fly.
I'm also in Waterloo.

Cheers and welcome to the CPSC. I concur with Lloyd, they grow, and self seed like crazy in your basic peat/sand mix. Save your LFS for other plants.
