Hi all,
Just found this board when I was looking for resources on Venus Flytraps. I've been keeping them (one at a time) for the last 5 years. The longest survivor was a year and a half. My pitcher plant has been more successful, it's been with me 4 years. I'd love to get into sundews, but I almost never see them for sale in the local plant stores. I've acquired two in the last 5 years and both died. Internet research did not help clarify what the cause of death had been.
Glad to see this club exists. Looking forward to learning more. And hopefully to killing fewer plants!

Easy dews are super easy. Should be some offered in the spring. Seeds are available fairly often.

Welcome! Like Lloyd said, you can start sundew from seeds, and the easy ones are not hard to begin with! Willy

Great to see you sticking with it despite the setbacks. Just know that you are getting much closer to mastering the growth of these botanical marvels. Continue on with a bit more learning, and once you know what makes these plants happy, you'll find they weren't so tricky after all. And Welcome to the forum. dvg

There are very few people who haven't killed a plant whilst starting on this hobby, stick with it and read the forums and pretty soon you will get it nailed down. They arent at all tricky once you know what they need.
Good luck Steve

I started growing carnivorous plants by killing a VFT as well and now I have so many I had to buy a shelf and set up a grow area to keep them in! If your ever in the orillia area I can supply you with some D. spatulata and a couple other easy varieties to get you started.
