Hello, when is a good time to transplant nep seedlings / thin them out? I have close to a couple hundred at this point. a lot of them are tossing out wee wee wee pitchers. I was thinking about spreading em out a bit but didnae want to shock them. cheers,

I also want to add a question: is it normal for seedlings to die about a year in? (maybe 10%+ of my seedlings died)

Nep seeds will usually send a tap root first. If you let your 100 seedlings grow this root in LFS, it will be a mess to separate them afterward so I suggest taking a few as soon as they germinate and transplant them. You will be able to see if your technique is good. If you sow them on a peat/sand mix, they will be easier to separate. In that case, I would rather take a piece of media and separate all the nep in it. In all case, I would let a bunch of nepth untouched in case your transplantation don't go well.

Okay, yip. Mine are already throwing out mini-mini traps. time to transplant them then I take it :O I sprinkled them all on LFS and that is how I got them going. So they are all on LFS. About 8 or nine varieties that I sprouted. A few of the later ones sowed are tossing out the taps now, but a lot are at very mini-mini baby plant stage and the majority are at least double leafed pea shoot stage.
