I have an issue with a D. deilsiana attempting to form flowers. The stalk grows without problem until the buds form, then they turn brown as well as the stalk tip. It has thrown up at least three stalks now with the same result. What factors could be causing this? I have it growing in a terrarium with a cm of water at the bottom, and daytime temperatures around 25 degrees and 70-80% humidity. Perhaps I have it in too much humidity? Any suggestions are appreciated.

Could they come to near of the light ?
If it is because of the humidity, you should see mold on the stalk after it turn brown.

I'd guess that the light has burnt the flowers too

Hm, I don't think it's the light. It's a good 14 inches to the nearest light. I do see mold occasionally, so I'll have to assume for now that it's too much humidity. I'll see about moving them to a different spot with slightly less humidity.
Thanks for the input!

For input, my D. deilsiana grow at room RH without any problem.

My room has been pretty dry lately so I started keeping it in a terrarium, so I guess it wasn't used to the sudden increase in humidity especially with the days getting cooler. I've put them in a smaller tank where it's only half covered and it's recovering nicely. Thanks again for the help. I think when I have a better setup I'll keep them out of the tank as you do.
