On my way to Ottawa for Canada Day I stopped by bonfield to pick up some plants to add to my collection.

I rescued a couple of these glass bowls from the recycle bin at work. I thought it was fitting to put my Nep that I rescued from a garden center in one of them.

I first read that as you rescued the plants from the recycling, lol. I agree that it is very fitting to place both of them together

Hey, where did you find the C-channel to use for your lighting? I couldn't find any at Home Depot!
It seems you're using regular wood to screw your lighting into, are you not worried about mold issues from the moisture/humidity?

I was thinking of a different setup

I got the C-channel at Home Depot but I've also seen it at Princess Auto for cheaper.
The wood I used was unfinished cedar, mold hasn't been an issue.

I picked up an assortment of Mist King parts from a guy. I want to automate the misting so when I go away I don't need to rely on someone to keep my plants alive. The 3 timers will come in handy for other tasks I have in mind. I wasn't sure how to plumb in the Zip drip but a quick visit to the Mist King web site cleared that up, pretty simple concept once I saw it on paper.

If you ever notice your misting system lose presure it might be the zip drip.

Just adopted these babies from the Czech Republic. I was interested in buying from that seller but was unsure about it getting to me safely. Nice to see yours arrived healthy from the trip. About how long did that take?
