I just started looking up carnivorous plants recently through my brief introduction of them from my greenhousing/aquaponics hobby. I'd always been fascinated by venus fly traps, but never had the chance to own one myself. I had no idea that so many varieties of carnivorous plants existed, let alone kept in Canada!
I've only ever seen some Nepenthes and Fly traps in person so I'd be very interested in hearing about all the great places in the GTA to see the full variety of carnivorous plants there is!
Please let me know if you guys have any suggestions on where to go within the GTA glad to be here!
Yeah I figured hobbyists would be the best place to turn to :\ Especially now that the weather's getting colder. I've seen the odd fly trap at Big Al's and nurseries or farmer's markets, but they're usually smaller specimens.

bonfield: I've decided to finally reveal my best-kept secret for growing healthy Neps: Just spit on them every few days, the enzymes in saliva help them to better absorb the fertilizer I spray them with!

chrisrichard: SCAM ALERT--Don't buy from Pearl River Exotics in Georgia. What they advertise on their website IS NOT WHAT U GET!!! I've learned from my horrible experience+am sharing with everyone, so you don't get ensnared in the same trap of false advertising by them.
