Hey everyone, I have started to regain a collection again, with a few neps! I've been looking around and came across coffee fertilization for neps? The results seem astounding! However, I am scared I am going to damage one of my neps if I try this. I will experiment with a cheaper less rare plant to start. Has anyone on this forum had experience with coffee fertilization for neps? Pictures would be nice too! Thanks Edward

I had a Miranda which I kept outside for half the year and it did very well with coffee. I'd use a K-cup every 2 weeks. I didn't use the coffee inside because of the mess.

I've used it with results. I actually just treated about 7plants. It takes a bit to show any results. Don't expect to notice any difference for a month or two. I'm sure you'll find other people's methods if you search and read up on them. As for me, usually I'll take the leftover coffee grounds after making a pot and strain water through it once again. I make sure the coffee water I have is heavily dilooted. Not the colour of coffee when you make a pot, more like the colour of a really watered down iced tea. I too am nervous to really overdo it so I take the minimalist approach. I water the Neps I prefer as I normally would any other watering. Let's the water run through the pot out the bottom into something you can remove when it's done dripping. The next day I flush the pot with regular water to make sure the roots are flushed enough so that they do not burn.
And that's pretty much it. I don't do it often. Once a year maybe. I know people do it more often I just can't be bothered.
Test on a plant you wouldn't be too scared to hurt if possible.

I measure TDS and apply when the meter reads around one hundred.

I guess you can go with more than 100 if you flush the pots next day. I do flush them anyways. Works for me: deluted to 100tds & ph6.5 bi-weekly
