cory and morphman : StickyIcky, myself and likely others would like to know the best conditions for M. tuberosa (are other ant plants treated the same way?) Count me in too. I think we should collectively work on a care guide specific to ant plants and pin it to the ant plant section of the forum. In general I noticed that M.tuberosa does best in warm/hot and humid temperatures. The ones growing "highland" for me never did as well as the ones in the lowland chamber. They also do well with a high nitrogen fertiliser.

Those articles basically sum it up. For myself I found that they really hate cold weather and the more mature they get the less time they should sit on moist media. Rot can come pretty quickly so air circulation is pretty important. I find that Lecanopteris like it more moist but less bright. M. tuberosa can get pretty tall so make sure you plan for that. Regular fertilizing is appreciated and it likes it a bit on the heavy side.

Morphman: When you say that M. tuberosa can get pretty tall, how tall is tall?

Biggest one I've personally had was almost 18 inches tall without a pot. Not crazy big but big enough to become a problem if you grow under lights on a shelf that limits your hight. I know they get even taller.
