Hey all
I think I need some help to make up my mind about a new grow space.
First of all, I'm pretty sure that kind of grow tent could be partly modified to accommodate quite a few neps and heli's along with a cooling system

I was planning on using the 2'X2'X4' model they have, which provides adequate space but without being too large (like a 4'X2'X5' I hesitated over). Basically, the cooling will be all the better with a more modest volume. Also, I refrain from using a glass aquarium/terrarium simply because I'm out of luck trying to find something which have the desired dimensions, especially with vertical space and depth. Besides, from what I could gather here, making a custom one myself would be too much of a hassle in my situation, although a glass enclosure would look very neat indeed.
One way I believe I could enhance the cooling unit would be by sticking together styrofoam insulating boards on all three sides and perhaps the top too, with holes cut so that the wires and tubes will pass but nothing more. I'd have to paint these afterwards because a big unsightly pink box in my room is kind of a bummer lol
Speaking of wiring and tubing, this brings me to the core of my endeavor and the part that brings the most indecisiveness in me; the cooling unit.
I am strongly tempted to make something like Avery did (the first setup or the second):

However, I have a hard time locating a small freezer, there seems to be only mini refrigerators in the classifieds around here. So I guess my first question would be: Would a mini fridge be enough to cool a 2X2X4 grow tent, given additional tweaks on insulation, or is it doubtful it would do the deed?
Basically, I'd be willing to put in around 200-250$ for a cooling unit that makes highlanders happy, but I have a hard time figuring out the do's and don't of such a project. I've been reading for a while on this subject, and Avery's setup strikes as a good model. But I am uncertain as to the specifics of all this.
Aside from the cost, I'd ideally like the unit to run pretty quietly, as it would be in my bedroom (and I'm a freak when it comes to noise at night).
I realize I did not mention lights. Since it does not accommodate for some 48'' T8 tube fixtures, I'd be limited in what I can use (my 600W HPS does not count, that would be a nightmare...). A LED grow light could come handy since these are highlanders, I'D have to settle for a budget friendly LED grow light and make full use of the reflective properties of the mylar lining the interior walls of the tent.
So that pretty much sums up what I have in mind right now, that is a lot more questions than answers haha
Thanks for any advice, I appreciate!
