Hi Lloyd - I don't get it. Doesn't Hypericum translate as above-picture? I know he sometimes named plants with qualities he felt were distasteful after people he disliked, but I'm lost on this one.

I just meant that Linnaeus presumably would turn over in his grave if someone identified a plant as "a pretty flower".
This was meant to be an instance of jocularity or perhaps a bit of jauntiness.

Looks like some sort of ericaceous plant based on leaves and flower to me. Reminds me a bit of some sort of cranberry (though from what I recall cranberries have white flowers).
