Once you are into CP, very often you will find yourself wanting to collect seeds for trading or sharing. The method I use to separate seeds from dried flowers is not the best way, but in case you're interested, here it is! Step 1, get a paper that you like, cut it to the center Step 2, flip it to the back side, apply glue like this Step 3, it should look like this Step 4, poke a small hole in the center with a needle Step 5, this is what it should look like Step 6, put it on top of your destination container Step 7, pour in your dried seed pods/ flowers (slowly and gently), gently tap the tips of your cheapy paper funnel to shake the seeds out into the container below Step 8, done! *You may want to make one for each type of seeds so that you won't end up mixing different seeds together! Feel free to post yours, or suggestions for improvements!

Alternatively you can make a microcentrifuge that goes up to 10,000 RPM. Simply put you seed pods in the container and turn on the unit, and you will find the seeds on the bottom while the rest are above! It works for 6 different tubes at once! Sadly I don't have that option anymore as I made that microcentrifuge for my friend. Cheapy way is my option now

Wow DIY microcentrifuge! Do you have problems with static making the seed stick to the tubes or do you treat the tubes before using them?

Wow DIY microcentrifuge! Do you have problems with static making the seed stick to the tubes or do you treat the tubes before using them? It wasn't a problem if I've recalled correctly. I usually use a pair narrow tweezers to remove the flowers and pods, and then let the seeds be in the tube for storing in the fridge.

...pretty inventive stuff!, I like it! Just a note Willy, those brown Sharpies (and other colours) fade away in the sun. The black and green ones don't, at least not as fast.
AV.

Classic - I love the paper funnel and needle but willy's kit takes everything into the space age. Probably too high tech for me.
