Hey guys. So I tried to look for diy setups, but their difficult for me to build since I'm not tech savvy when it comes to electronic builds. But I did find something I ordered from amazon and I won't need to build. The fun thing is that it has a wall plug already attached to it. Plus I find it has a good look to it and has mounting screws for me to build a cool purch/stand for it inside the tank. My question is: is this too powerful & How should I place it in my tank. Some specs - Designed for custom projects that requires or as a replacement fan in various machinery.
- Includes a heavy-duty aluminum fan with power plug cord, two fan guards, and mounting screw set.
- Dual-ball bearings have a lifespan of 67,000 hours and allows the fans to be laid flat or stand upright.
- Low Speed: Has a lower noise and airflow rating than high speed models.
- Dimensions: 80 x 80 x 38 mm | Airflow: 23 CFM | Noise: 28 dBA | Bearings: Dual Ball

Best to buy cheap 12V fans with wallwarts. If they fail (unlikely), replace them.
Avoid 120V as much as possible in a wet environment.

I can custom-make something like that if you just want a fan that powers from the wall socket. Cheers, Willy

I found it nice and easy to get a computer fan from Canada Computers or somewhere similar and connect it to an small wall transformer like those that come with cell phones. There are variable output transformers at Walmart etc that can let you control the output voltage and something like 12V gives good fan speed. There are lots of YouTube instruction vids out there and it is pretty simple.
