Hey guys, Pretty new on the forum. It's actually the first I've signed up for So I have a question. I want to build myself a terrarium / Paludarium for subtropical CPs. Mostly sundews at the momment. Do any one you have successful tanks or setups. I've built vivariums for geckos in the past. But I've always had a hard time with mold (could be due to decaying matter and no insect colonies) I have a few things laying around the house. 10 gal tank with wire mesh top. Hydro balls. Long fiber sphagnum moss (dried) A bail of Sphagnum peat moss (I work at a soil manufacturer) A bag of perlite (got from work again) An old fish tank filter that I could easily modify to make a waterfall with. A usb powered fan The plan: I wanted to make a bog type paludarium since I would be able to have the bottom layer of hydro balls covered in water and the fish tank filter would create a flow so it wouldn't get stagnant or anarobic. And also add oxigen. On top of the layer of hydro balls I would add a material (hard platic or cloth) to separate it. Then add my soil mix to the top. Keeping half of the tank empty for the "spring/waterfall" part that would allow me to keep tabs on the quality. I would plant CPs apropriat to the climat Im looking for. But I'm not sure it's something that people have done and kept successfully. Do you guys have any thoughts or comments. Expiriences with this type of projects. Or suggestions on alternatives

Pretty much all of the commonly available sundews would work I think, you could also use pings but I am not familiar enough with them to tell you all that would work. Personally I have been using Pinguicula moranensis in a similar setup and it has been growing very well.
