I got a P. emarginata from bonfield 7 days ago. It didn't like the trip and the leaves show it but its surely on the mend - there's a flower stalk happening! One Tough Ping! Thanks Cole!!

What are your conditions for a recovering ping? I seem to kill weak pings

You're welcome! Emarginata has to be the most durable Ping I have, it seems to do well in nearly any conditions I give it.

Danyoh,
I think troubled pings do best if you dry them right out and leave them that way for a month or so. Pings get in trouble when they are too wet, especially if the crown gets wet. That being said, some of the larger-leaved varieties do just fine using the tray method. Just wait a few days before you refill the tray after it dries out.

I agree, the emarginata that I have are durable little buggers that don't stop flowering. The last variety I got came in the worst looking in the entire order but yet recovered the fastest and flowered first.

I am soooo pleased with this guy. Its been 8 days since I got it. I potted it up in a standard cp mix, watered in and off to the side of the lights for indirect lighting. Haven't watered since - maybe tomorrow.
