My Maxima cuttings have decided to grow upper pitchers instead of lower ones. Is that usual? Either way it's exciting for me. Also is there any definitive way to tell a maxima from a miranda, it was sold to me from HB as a Maxima, I just see very little physiological differences. Anyways! I should probably plant these cuttings now.

Paulkoop : Fantastic. I hope it keeps it up then. I have a million lower pitchers. I wanna see some uppers. The main plant stopped pitchering when it started vine-ing.
Lloyd: That's my fear, I think the same thing. The only difference is all my mirandas peristomes go a very deep red and this one always had the spotty/stripy peristomes. Though I think I've seen pics of mirandas with spotty peristomes too.

Hi, I just got my first upper pitchers on my talengensis x maxima x lady pauline and they look different for sure. probably because of the crosses. But i got mine from HB as well.
