Please help me with this one. How do I go about planting U. biloba? I'd like to grow it in a substrate of some sort and just barely flooded. Would this be possible? I'm starting with small, looks like aquatic, threads with a branched end, no leaves. Would I partially bury these? Any ideas? Thanks for help.

It can be placed in a plastic cup full of waterlogged peat, with it being laid just on the surface. After a week or so under bright light, slightly warm temps and high humidity, it should be growing down into the substrate. I top it off with a spray mister so that it muddies the water a bit, many of my Utrics that have this done to them grow a little faster. After a couple weeks, I start raising the water level above the substrate by a few centimeters to allow for more aquatic growth. It can also be done in a drained container within a non-drained one.

You're welcome! Also, I prefer the clear plastic cups so that I can watch how the growth is doing beneath the surface.
