ok it seems i have inherited some nasty little suckers, most time i would take the plant and submerge under water for 24 hours but i want to see what others use to destroy there problem pests.

Well, I usually submerge the plants as well. I tried safer's soap, caused lots of problems on my Sarracenia. I find malathyon works, if you like using chemicals. I've also heard that kneem oil (sp?) does a great job! I've only tried submerging and malathyon.

Neem oil, it's used in an Indian tooth-paste style stuff, tastes weird, but I've heard it works

I got rid of mites by submerging VFTs a couple of times and they were perfectly fine afterwards.

I used to submerge them, but you have to do several waves, because the aphids reappear from nowhere! I have tried the neem oil, works OK. I have recently tried safer's End All soap on Drosera and it actuall killed several pygmies...
I'll go back to doing submersion and neem oil treatments.
