This summer, I put all my infected plants outside for a few months then repotted them all, sprayed with insecticidal soap and bagged them for a few days and then sprayed with dilute Imidacloprid and left them for 2 days before I brought them in.
Three months later, the mealies are back. My current regimen is to blast any infected plants with water every few days. The most heavily infested are the same ones that were infested and weak before the summer. The water spray is working though. Last year the little bastards went for my orchid flowers. This year they have given up on the Oncidium and Phal stalks and are hanging out on a few small, shriveled paphs. I'm going to leave the paphs as sacrificial hosts.

If you don't see it, don't spray it.

So add 117 mg to 700 cc.

Get the magnifying lens out, even spider mites should be visible. I say use Al Bickell's Neem recipe. Remember mealies are in the soil too. You will have to repot and treat the roots.
