I don't what or if you spray it with anything but a grower in the u.s. once told me that you put 50 percent water and 50 percent of the 99 percent isopropyl, and that's your solution that you just plunk it into. Might not be right, but that's what I heard...

I have some 3-year-old dried pitchers that look fine. No treatment.

I try to cast them in resin (when they are still fresh and colorfull, not when they turned brown). Didn't have the time to do a lot of test yet.
My first attempt was not that great because the resin was old and had already took a yellow tint. Also, you have to make it right the first time or the pitcher color can be wash by the spray or resin.
In the end, the pitcher will be preserved for a lifetime.
Rather than casting the pitcher in a mold, I'm also thinking about dipping the pitcher in the resin and letting it dry.

...when I was young, many years ago, I remember my older sisters putting very pretty flowers in heavy books, right in tight in the pages. They would then close the book and open it months later to find a perfectly dried, almost paper thin replica of the flower. I'm sure this could be done with Neps, I've already tried it with Ceph pitchers and it works great! I cannot comment on varnishing these as I have not tried it.

I think it dried beautifully the way i did it and there full squishing them might look bad Ill try some ventrata pitchers and spray them with varnish lol Ill leave the nice veichii till i find a tried and true method
