Hello Everyone!
As many of you know Jack and Jeanie at Hawaiian Botanicals have stopped doing retail orders of carnivorous plants to focus on wholesale and other aspects of their business and so Jack can do more kayaking & crabbing As always they're still open for retail visitors to their nursery. Please check their website for hours. After some discussion I have decided to take on as many of those retail orders as possible to help ensure that CP's will still be available across Canada. I will be selling plants that I've propagated myself as well as HB stock. If you are looking for HB stock and I don't have it on hand I will be doing regular orders and will get it for you. We believe this will be the best way for all parties involved and hope we can satisfy everyone.
This be said, as HB is doing as well, I will be focusing on Temperate (Cold Hardy) and Semi-tropical species and some hybrids of CP's. Sarracenia, Darlingtonia, Dionaea (Flytraps), North American Drosera, Temperate Pinguicula, and Mexican Pinguicula will be what is mostly available. I will have the occasional Nepenthes cuttings, South African Drosera, and Utricularia as well.
If you are looking for a selection of other CP's I suggest the follow members as trustworthy and excellent growers. Please know that some of these members will only have plants available once or twice a year.
bonfield - Frequent sales of Drosera, Utricularia, Genlisea, Nepenthes seedlings, Pinguicula, Cephalotus and other fun plants. Always a deal!
cpgeek - Amazing grower of rare Drosera species, (Tuberous, SA winter growers, South African and South American) Heliamphora and some hardy CP's as well.
curlingguy - Produces large amounts of Cephalotus follicularis.
Maiden - The best of the best for Heliamphora.
Please remember that this is a hobby for me and I am doing this to help support not only my own collection but to help others grow theirs. Sometimes I'll reply within minutes but it may take me up to a week to get back to you. I work a full time job and have a side business that takes up much of my spare time.
If you would like to place an order or have any questions please PM me or email me at canadiancarnivorousplants@gmail.com
