Hello everyone,
I feel the need to apologize for Dennis A's unbelievable behaviour.
On this forum we want to include everyone and encourage new members to participate and learn. We give any problematic members chances to change in the hopes that become great members. We gave Dennis A many many chances but today was the last one.
He has been banned for the foreseeable future and the mods will discuss if he can ever come back.
We hope that all of our new members don't let Dennis A reflect badly on this forum and we hope this situation doesn't deter anyone from posting.
Justin

Hi justin, there is no need to apologize. That was all dennis's choice, and you had nothing to do with its unfortunately some people just keep going at it... Nevertheless you made a good decision. He needs to realize what he's done.

Just to add to H2O's message above.
We all like to be fair and inclusive. Sometimes people start off seeming buggy or abrasive. Always in the past, they have settled down and become contributing, positive members of the forum. Up till now we've only banned spammers (or robots), the very rare scammers, and some rare people who just came to be weird or annoying and had no interest in the forum.
Cook was different. I think he was really interested in growing CP's. Unfortunately he just seemed unable to follow (the admittedly unwritten and subjective but real none-the-less) rules of the forum. We have given him lots of advice and many chances to fit in for the reasons given above. But this approach didn't seem to work. In the end, it has come down to his being banned.

I'm still new, so I'm really sorry if I'm bugging anybody. Just let me know if I am. I really love these plants, and soon I hope to have enough to be able to contribute to everyone. Cheers, Edward.

edwardmelnyk:
You aren't bugging anybody so don't worry.
One important lesson is that on the OCPS, we don't ban people because they are buggy, annoying or because we don't like them. We don't even ban them if they are really naughty on occasion.
However, continued negative behaviour can have consequences.
The good news is that we're pretty easy going. We want anybody who is interested in CP's to belong to the OCPS. If you like CP's and you're generally Ok, you're not going to be banned.

You also have a great avatar, Edward. Is that you or one of your kids? And are they burping up those bubbles or trying to eat them?

Like Lloyd said, Dennis is the only member we have ever banned that wasn't spam/scam. You would really have to try to get banned on this forum. Evening for scammer, we have only ever banned Matt and Jessie.

...I don't think any of the mods need to apologize for anyone's behaviour. Everyone on here is in complete control of what they post and as such, face any consequences their posts may cause. I kind of feel sorry for the guy now, but he had his chances. I sent him free stuff and I'm sure lots of other members did as well. He abused the generosity and patience of OCPS members. People can only take so much. I will miss the laughs I got from his posts though. Must go, gotta PM Maiden and ask him if he grows Heliamphora. . ....give him another chance in the spring, what the hell................Happy Growing!
