Now I will show my newest pot shortly after the Kiln for the structure of these advanced pots. First the structure of the bottom, no standing water will touch the soil mixture. An idea of a friend The inside is divided in two compartments for different plants. The broad rim around at the ground is for planting Sphagnum and Utris which love more water. The stripes are made with natural iron oxide. The clay is free from lime. Tested with the vinegar acid test. If no bubbles come up there is no lime.

Snapperhead I admire very much your cephalotus selections. Your fast growing type and especially your seedgermination advices are the reason to join this forum. How long is your waiting list for the next seed harvest?

what a great idea, looks great, good to see all the plants growing well too. ,was going to make a wall with out crops on it to grow plants from like a natural rock wall face it was going to be 7 ft tall and 8ft across, but could not find the right materials here in AU to make what i wanted , similar idea on a much larger scale. As far as ceph seed goes, will be very limited next year when rip , only let a few plants flower this year ,if they pollinate and ripen will not be till late Feb 2016, all though I may have some wild seed from my trip in Feb but that's is not a given

Take me on your list for seeds, I think another year will make small difference. I intend to live long enough to see some results. A gardener without a certain amount of patience should look for another field of occupation. For your big wall I have some solutions to offer, you will be able to carry out everywhere. But I must go now, my studio waits.

A friend has told me that in the German forum its been suggested that the Ceph seed called Mikes super fast , comes from Mike Wang in USA, this is incorrect as the Mikes super fast is a plant grown buy my friend here in Adelaide South Australia and it not available in USA it was breed and grown here in AU I have the only other original division , ., as i have not sent seed to USA as yet ?? can you please correct this wrong information please on your forum, the original owner of the plant is Pro.Micheal Perkins and has not been distributed to any other counters as a plant , only a few seed to EU and UK and Canada

It’s already corrected, and was only a guess who might be that Mike. I hope Mr. Perkins won’t mind that his name is now mentioned in a German forum.

Now about your wall: First: I have seen a Waterfall constructed out of natural stones with concrete and then covered with mats of glass fiber soaked in Polyester several layers. This was covered with fine gravel. You could construct pockets onto this out of the same material or use some out of ceramic which should hold with silicone. But wear a gasmask while you do the polyester work. Second: I had once constructed a wall full of jungle plants. For this purpose I fixed plastic coated chicken wire onto the top of the walls and stuffed fibrous peat behind. Regularly watered it grew moss. A tank of plastic behind the wall and some wick along the wall will do the job and you don’t have to much work with it once it is finished. Third: Panels overlapping with pockets and rocklike projections out of ceramic will look like a natural rock if done well. If you do it with low fired clay you should take care that there are enough notches on the back that the silicone sticks to it when wet. With my material it would do at any rate. I once imitated lava as a cover for planting pockets. The space in between was coconut fibre mats which had been soaked for a while to get rid of the salt. Then dried and stuck onto the glass wall (glazed ceramic tiles would do) with silicone. Now my skill has far more improved and I would do it much more likeable, though it looked good at that time covered with moss and plants. There is no picture of this jungleroom I created, because I had no camera at that time and the owner made after some years a cactus desert out of it bevore he changed it to a kitchen. My lava imitation (this secret will be revealed by pm only) limefree and frostproof. Finally: If you have lava with a lot of gasbubbles and or obsidianfoam you should test it for lime with the vinegartest. Maybe its a suitable material.

Should I think about cooperation with a pottery? The way I do these prototypes is too slow, it would cost a fortune. You guys like to spend money on plants
