Hello, I have read on some websites that silica sand is carcinogenic when small particles are inhaled... However, the websites that I have read this from seem to only stress the dangers when construction workers are working with it. Is the sand that you can buy different from the sand construction workers need to protect themselves from? Should I be more cautious when using this sand as opposed to other soils?

Never hurts to be safe. Get a bucket and a garden hose especially for the finer grits. Wash thoroughly. Avoid stirring up & inhaling dust.
