Here are a few pictures of some Mexican Pinguicula species and hybrids from my collection that have bloomed recently. I hope to add additional pictures of other species and hybrids if blooming and having enough time to take a decent photo coincide. I also encourage other members to post pics if you feel so inclined.

A couple of P. moranensis flowers I got from BCP, their lineage originates from Santiago Juxtlahuaca, Oaxaca, 1850m.

Nice flowers there Guy!
Have you attempted to pollinate any of your Mexi-ping flowers, either selfed or crossed, yet?
It's amazing what can result from that little effort.

Awesome man, I'll have to post pictures of my clones to show how different they can be.

Thanks everyone!
Dvg: When I first started growing Mexi Pings I liked to try to self and cross pollinate them, most of the time it seemed relatively easy to do though the seeds were incredibly tiny even for CP seeds. After I got overwhelmed with a particular batch of selfed P. ‘weser' seedlings I decided to stop pollinating for awhile. As time passed my main focus turned to other genus of CP, but now things have come full circle and I'm really getting back into Pings again. When I finally got my cyclosecta to flower after years of cultivation it pushed me to start pollinating again. I have some P. emarginata x cyclosecta seeds sown, and several other flower ovaries are swelling of what should hopefully be some interesting crosses. I can only hope they’ll grow up to look anything like your spectacular seed grown Pinguicula. Your seed grown Pinguicula threads are inspiration on their own.
H2O: Looking forward to seeing some pics of your plants. As you first pointed out to me, there seems to be tremendous variation amongst plants from this location.

I like the emarginata flower! The leaves on your cyclosecta clone are much greener than any I've had. Mine were always bluer with dark borders. But then I find pings can change leaf form and colour dramatically depending on their age and the season and particular growing conditions.

Thanks Hal, The reason the leaves are so green on the cylosecta is because I reduced the light/photo period in an attempt to induce flowering in this species. As you can see it worked, at least for my plant/clone. Here is a picture of the exact same cylosecta plant a couple of years before under constant photoperiod T5 lighting, nice and purple/blue but it grew so slow back then and it would never flower.

Hi Guy, I'm sure that you'll get some interesting clones with that P. emarginata cross...the resulting flowers from those crosses are usually quite beautiful. And there are many ways to contribute on a plant forum. Anytime that one is inspired and is able to inspire others is one of the best of contributions of all. dvg
