Does growing these beauties require more work then what I'd hope?

Don't even think about growing rafflesia!
If you look at my parasitic plants thread, you'll see how hard it is to grow this group of plants.

I tried looking for it. You'd need the vine it host's and the seed to infiltrate the vine

Funny enough I have the host plant for one of the species and it is large enough to host one. Probably impossible to actually get seed though.

AFAIK, it's never actually been domesticated. Some local Botanical Gardens have managed rarely to take an infected vine in the wild and plant it and have had it flower. I don't think anybody has actually taken a seed and infected a host vine.

I wish man it's a wicked looking plant. I think amorphophallus titanium is actually doable . I'm soon building a conservatory

I'd be happy if I could ever get a Loranth growing. Tristerix aphyllus is one of my goals.
