last flowering season I let a good number of my ceph flower to make a lot of hybrids ,to see if i could get some different plants from them ,looking for the abnormal one you may get, contrary to many's believe, 99.99% of ceph sites do not or are not able to cross pollinate dew to mostly the distances between site or locations of the site, there for many have there own colour plant tissue textures and differences, usually only slight is visual appearances , the myth that there Evey where and all in shouting distance is just that , we may travel some 1 ,2, 3 , 4 hr drive from 1 site to the next and then close ones may be 10 to 15 kilometer away from each other, many are very isolated indeed , a few are reasonably close ,but still would sugest that not close enough to cross pollinate . so is my reason to cross pollinate many of my differnt looking plants / clones and see what comes of it and no it was not all that was flowering many others back inside the lager G/H were as well , last count was 125 spikes up , the rest I cut off as it takes so much out of the plants to flower .

I got the EB seed as well and successfully growing them going in T/c now, but as usual there green as , getting the EB colour is more then a problem to over come as its registered colour is dark red not black as many photos suggest , you need cool climate and very good sun or lighting ,some suggest even LED will help, i have not found that at all
LLoyd pm me

...well, I am speechless!!! I've only been growing Cephs for about a year and have never had one flower (1 year is probably very insignificant in the growth cycle of a Ceph). Brilliant pollination idea you're onto there, to cross the different colonies together, that would not be able to cross naturally. I will not ask you for seeds, but if at any time you have spares and would feel like taking the effort to ship them, I would be very interested. Fascinating pics you have posted in your last few posts, Cheers Man!

Wow, I,ll add my voice to the other one, that's amazing.
The spike seem really long. Is it the case in nature too or is it because you give them less light?
If they are always that lenghty, I'll have to get a new setup to accommodate them.

This is awesome, it must be great to be able to cross that stuff you actually want to. Unlike many of us that will cross whatever is open just because that's our only option!
