Hey Everyone
----
Long time since I posted but there is a reason (the title). Recently I got a dog, I am still happy I got her...But onto the story
With the warmer weather we started letting our dog into the backyard, Where my bog is. The first few weeks went by well and then she started digging in the grass, Getting paranoid that she might start digging in my bog, I fenced it. Reducing the light a little in the back of the bog but I wasn't too worried if it protected my plants. ( I was going to change it to chicken wire )
Then I learn that my dog could jump, pretty high. The fence was about 16+inches around the whole bog and I thought that was enough. It was till this week. Well I left the house for about 8 hours making sure that she plenty food and water ( There was someone home at the time too but they don't care about my bog just kidding they had to leave too leaving her at home for 2 hours ) Came back and...
...Looked at my... well I didn't think I could call it a bog now. One of my Judith whatever now, used to be a 5+ growth point plant, now is ripped to pieces leaving broken rhizome's everywhere in my backyard and have been chewed up ( I don't think she ate any, it's been a few days and she is still as energetic as she was before) and other plants too. Looks like the bog was missing tons of soil too.
That isn't the worst, that was the best, I lost all my seedlings, some yearlings, a few mature plants, and some Drosera's and a Capensis. I am still looking for some plants trying to salvage them and I have the mature plants contained except for two. If you are wondering what she did with the plants: They were chewed up, ripped, dismantled, De-pitchered, De-Rooted (Trashed the roots right off) , and the most heart breaking she "planted" the mature plants in the wrong soil...
Just to tell you guys the dog spay things do not work for her. She can drink/lick that stuff. I tried tasting the spay( Non-toxic and Don't do what I did) thinking that it was a bad bottle...don't do it please...My stomach can't handle it. another reason I didn't post much.
----
But I still love my dog, so all in all I will be rebuilding my bog with a fortress around it
So I might not be here to post a lot
So has anyone have this kind of problem and know ways to fix this or recover sarracenia's that rhizome is still white but the growth-point is dead
Or can someone give me some ideas..
P.S: She left my Purpurea and a Scarlet belle ALone and now I have divided my Judith something. At least something came good after this
P.P.S My Purpurea doesn't want to flower only divide... last time it flowered was 2 years ago
