Just a little update on my CPs for those that may be interested. No pics for this unfortunately, as I still can't post any here.
My monster ceph continues to be a monster, getting bigger and bigger. The two cuttings that took are starting to put on size and grow pitchers, so I'm quite happy with that.
My N vetricosa flowered again in march, and has continued to put out larger pitchers all winter just growing in the windowsill with no additional light. The cutting from it is about ready to plant, which I'll do at the same time as the new nep I actually found at a local garden center. I may move the cutting into the terrarium.
The terrarium is growing well with about 2" of sphagnum in it now. The H minor has grown considerably and flowered in the winter. A large (about 1.5cm) jumping spider moved into it a few weeks ago and has learned to avoid the sundews. He's kind of a cool addition.
My VFTs hit a roadblock this winter. I insulated the walls in the basement this winter, including the ones against the cold room. It seemed to have gotten too cold in there, and all but my large pot were wiped out, and there are only a few coming back in the large pot. Hopefully they recover and I get the cold room itself insulated before winter to keep the temp a bit more moderate.
Outside, the purp has survived the winter wonderfully. A few of the pitchers were poking through the leaf layer, and these turned brown shortly after the snow melted and we got hit with more cold weather. I removed the leaves a couple of days ago and found a lot of nice green and red pitchers, still full of water. Hopefully I get more than one flower this year.
And my one non CP plant that I'm happy survived again, my ever expanding patch of prickly pears made it through another extremely cold winter. I'm planning to put some sedum mats around them to try and control the weeds a bit, and they should appreciate the conditions there as well.
That about sums up my spring so far, looking good.
