How do you always get pictures of your flowers open. I always miss it. I often miss mine too! I have to watch them from time to time very carefully!

Willy:
Im a newbie to growing sundews, but have a fair bit of 35mm and dlsr photo experience.
I love your clos-up pics.
Are you adjusting your 'white balance' to ensure accurate colour rendition? The reason I ask is that artificial lights can really mess with dlsr sensors.
Can you pm me or share any tips or suggestions in appropriate thread.
Thanks!

I usually use 'daylight' or 'cloudy' white balance if that helps! Willy

Thanks Willy.
I will try the 'cloudy' setting the next time I break out my dlsr.

Hi Willy - Normally I am not a big fan of hybrids, but that is quite striking! Is this different from 'Ivan's Paddle'? I am assuming it is also named after Ivan Snyder. If it highly floriferous? If so, where did you find it?

If so, where did you find it? Yes it is named after Ivan, and differ from 'Ivan's Paddle', this plant is crossed between D. nidiformis und D. dielsiana, where as x 'Ivan's Paddle' is between the 'CA x HI' tropical Drosera anglica hybrid and Drosera rotundifolia. I have high respect to Ivan, I wish to collect more of his crosses in the future! So far I also have Drosera spatulata 'Ivan's 3 Way Australian'. I grew these plants from seeds, from killerpflanzen. I'm not sure how highly floriferous it is, but the bright pink flower stood out and I just had to drop down everything and take a few photos! Willy
