I've really been enjoying this species for the last couple of years. No matter how many I give away I always have more! I've found that removing the gammae every year helps get bigger mother plants and each of the pin head sized gammae still become decent sized plants in a few short months. I thought I would try a little farm of them this year, one pot for farming gammae and the other to sell/trade/gift. The three mother plants from last year. Filling some pots! Spray it down so the soil is nice and even One mother plant, each one has 20-50 gammae every year. Does look like much but by the end of summer it will be solid touching leaves. These were all tiny little pin pricks last spring. One had already produced 10-12 gemmae. All done! Last year I look a bunch of extra plants and threw them into a mini ping-scape. Only 3 flowered last year so I'm hoping for more this year. Doesn't look like much now but they'll be flowering in no time. j.

Curse you and your warm weather! There is still snow everywhere over here with temps below zero almost daily.
I love the display in the last few pics. I am looking forward to more pictures of their progress as well as other plants in your collection.

Really nice pots H2O !
Those flowers are really good looking.
My temperate pings usually only get 3-4 hours of sun and they are still flowering.
However, my mixe contain more turface/sand/pebble because it stay humid almost all of the summer.

I planted the four you sent me with everything else in that bog I just started, and it'll be interesting to see the difference between the two I placed along with the tall sarracenia, and the two that'll be out in full sun.

You're going to love this species. I've been propagating it like mad over the last couple years so that I could offer it to as many people as possible this year. I truly think its the most vigorous and easy to grow temperate Ping.
