I have a few Orchids and am new to CPs. I know in general they can grow in harmony quite well, however does anyone know if there are any known problems of having Orchids and CPs? List of my Orchids: White Phal: NOID (yellow centre) White mini Phal NOID (yellow centre) DTPS Sogo Yenlin (Very small not sure if mini or not) Oncidium Twinkle x2 (Red) (Mini) Cymbidium "Eastern Wind" (Mini) Sorry i don't have any pics of them in flower but I'll get some when they rebloom. Got really lucky and found a flower shop that considers them dead when the flowers die, so I get them for next to nothing

The orchids take up valuable space that could be used for more CPs. Other than that, no problems I know of.

I have to agree with hal. I like my orchids best when they are still in vitro.

As someone who has spent a few hundred dollars on orchids recently...one thing from so many years of growing miniature and pickier orchid species, orchids seem to be a lot more picky for me to figure out than CP's. CP's can handle a lot more wetter conditions than orchids. So if u like to mist ur plants often, watch for signs of rot as the orchids may not like it that much. Learnt that the hard way.

I don't mist them often and when i do, its just the roots, never the leaves. According to some this prevents the chance of rot, above the media. Well draining soil prevents root rot. This info is only what I have seen so far, any other tips for orchids is welcome.
