Thanks for your interest Amanito, here's an update. Because we've essentially had no winter here on the West coast, I've been growing my mature Ceph plants either outdoors when the weather is mild or indoors in a south facing window when things get chilly. I'm very happy to report that although my mature Ceph plants slowed down/went dormant for a month or two, none of them suffered any significant die-back like in seasons past, and now new spring growth is beginning to emerge. Here's the plant from the first post on a frosty morning in January And from today late February. Different clone from today. New growth emerging after a brief dormancy. No dry-out during fall or winter for these plants, they were kept very wet because of the Fall/Winter rain, but with good drainage and airflow it's no problem. As for my Ceph divisions and new clones (that often arrive small) I've been growing them under lights in a humidity dome with some of my smaller HL Nepenthes. Czech 'veined pitcher' So I've been very happy with changing my routine for my mature plants, growing them under lights in the fall and winter just wasn't working for me and this is a great improvement. That said it's only been one season, but I have every intention of trying this technique again next fall. It should also be noted that my smaller plants did well under lights during the fall and winter combined with the high humidity and cool nights afforded by the HL Nep set up.
Hope this is some help to you Cephaholics, and as always thanks for tuning in.

Thanks Gab! These days I really prefer to give all of my Cephs seasonal variation. Flower stalk pic from yesterday.
