Peat moss, perlite, LFS. 50:20:30 ratio Large growing container is what works for darlingtonia...it keeps the growing media temperature more constant. Also important to keep the media wet. Never let it dry out I've had great success with this setup for over 25 years Sorry for bringing up an old thread, but I'm getting ready to grow my darlingtonia and was wondering for the LFS, do I chop it up? Or just mix it in with the peat and perlite? I read elsewhere that I should chop up the LFS finely, but wasn't sure?

I saw some amazing Darlingtonia this evening, grown in pure live sphagnum in a clay pot in a tray of water. Pure LFS would also work

Iv chopped all my long fibre spag moss for my Darlingtonia but for other plants I don't, but all my Darlingtonia are doing great in the chopped stuff, & over time I've observed that my Darlingtonia grow faster in LFPM then peat moss.
