Hi everyone!
Since joining this forum a while back i have been hooked on carnivorous/ unique plants with the help of many awesome and generous people from this forum . As a result of this passion i have recently started school at the University of Guelph majoring in Plant Sciences. I hope to specify in plant genetics, breeding and bio technology! I was just wondering if anyone else went to school for plants in guelph or another university and had any cool experiences/ideas/ tips for me?
Thanks,
Will

Sounds like fun. Remember to grow lots of weird plants too. Maybe you could get the University to order really strange plants and share them with us.

Yup I'm at UofG. I majored in Plant Sciences too and am doing my masters now. If you have any questions/need anything let me know and I'll see what I can do for you. I'm going to be here until at least May 2015. Definitely join the horticulture club: it's the easiest way to meet other people in plant science and some of the researchers and people who run the greenhouses here. Thanks to ng, there should be lots of Drosera to go around in a few months

I'm here too, majoring in Zoology. I'm gonna be joining up with the Hort club as per Sokkos' suggestion this semester, and have brought some of my plant friends along with me.
Protip: Go to club day in the UC, it's fun to see what kinds of clubs there are, even if they aren't lined up with what you're wanting to do with your life, it's still nice to expand your horizons, try new things, meet new people, and relax!

Wow, this is so cool that the three of us go to the same university. See you both at the horticulture club!
