Haha was checking water level of bog planters and there was a noisy fly in the pitcher heheh was loud and deep in there wanted to see if it was a wasp or fly either way the saracenias arnt going to bed hungry tonight

Whenever I'm around the sarr's, I can hear the angry buzzing of wasps stuck in the pitchers. Often they have their revenge and eat holes in the pitchers which can flop over. Plus the pitchers can stink of rotted wasps. The neps do a better job-drowned wasps aren't any trouble.

We JUSt cut down a large green gage plum which produces soooo much fruit no one eats and attracts sooo many wasps plus the pond and stream they seam to drink from the pond. Hope the bugger doesn't eat threw the pitcher its brand new.

Not sure what this flowers are some sort of gladiolus ? Or Freesia K while look up proper spelling of gladiolus I found ones that look similar ..guess iv only seen typical glad s

Singlana ? I dont have one of this .. the first nep is izumiae Oops... got confused. Sad thing is I also grew a lot of izumiae seedlings. Most died... but 2 ...and they refuse to pitcher.

One if my Izumiae plants basicaly aborted the pitcher it had....i dunno why ...i find them slow growing its just now pitchering for me and i got it last summer ... Luckily the plant that is aborting is making another ...not sure if it just had to reach a certain size to grow faster or what but ....
