Got a bit of a shock when I look in the terrarium today and saw a flower stalk emerging from my H minor! Was not expecting that at all. Any tips on what to do are appreciated. I'm not even sure if it's possible to get seeds from it. I haven't looked into that at all yet, assuming I was years away from it happening.

One flower-probably no seeds (pollen & stigma mature at different times, I believe). Still the flower looks nice and doesn't seem to weaken the plant.

Hey congrats for your first heli flower.
The pollinating is not easy the first time. Like lloyd said, the stigma just stop being receptive before the anthers drop the pollen. So, a good pollen storage method is a must.
You have to 'buzz' the pollen out, i mean you will have to mimic a insect vibration(440hz), and waiting for the next flower. From my experience, you will have from 2 to 4 flowers on your hamp, so pollinating is possible.

So, how much time do I have to research proper pollen collection/storage/pollination? It's inventory time at work, so I'm busy, but should have occasional mornings to dedicate to research.

You have to be there in the right time. The timing is very important. You have to use the pollen on the next flower before that one is completely open. Sometimes you will have only a couple hours to do this. Here a good video. m.youtube.com/watch?v=GvOvmOmc8Ns

Thanks for the links. I think I saw tuning forks somewhere local for sale. Maybe Michael's? I'll have to run there after work tomorrow.

How old or large do Heli's have to be in order to flower?

I was removing the dead flower stalk from my heli this morning, and decided to open up the flowers and see what was inside. One of them seems to have formed a seed pod with about a half dozen seeds inside. Anyone have some pics of seeds with something to provide scale? Google isn't giving me too many pictures.

No scale, but the seeds are 4-6mm.

That's what they look like, just a bit smaller.
