I really like the N. lowii. Where did you get that N. macrophylla? It's a very nice looking plant. The villosa is a nice size too! Good growing. I got it from a friend. It is a wistuba sourced clone. Thanks for the comments guys. Yup. That is an ant plant Lloyd. But it isn't doing well at all. I guess my mix is not good or it needs ferts to do well without its ant companions. Regd cooling...no active cooling now. Its in the basement...so thats the only temps it goes down to... 20-23C at night?

Warm and humid if you can. Mines put on some good size in the last few months. Lower light... Like T-8 or maybe T-5's but at a good distance. If the leaves yellow a bit it's getting to much. That's a great looking plant I would like to get me one like it someday...ant plants are addicting to in their own way lol

Thanks Roraima.
haha...yup. its a ceph in there. With lack of room, you try to salvage any open areas in the pots. But sometimes..it ends up really crowding up everything...but it does look nice when it works out.

Minus when the cobra pitcher needs dormancy I haven't successfully conducted a dormancy yet. Once...almost 6y ago..when I started, I put VFTs to dormancy by putting them in my cold room. The VFTs were fine, but later when I tried a more conventional way of putting them in a plastic tub outside with mulch..the plants froze to death (lack of the ground heat effect that can just keep them above freezing)....lost all my VFTs and beautiful cobra.

Watch for the soap on the vft's you should use it as a contact, leave for 5 then rinse off. It will fry your traps if left. I would just get a big tote and drown em, thats what seems to be working for me.

It's worked surprisingly well.
