...nice garden! I am a big fan of Aloe Vera as well, it is a magical healing plant for cuts or burns. I have had many 'contusions' over the years and Aloe Vera plants have minimized my scarring significantly. The jelly that's inside those leaves is magical, I am convinced of it! Now that I have two small boys, I can never have enough. I actually divided up my one monster that I've had for years and ended up with thirteen cuttings just a couple of weeks ago. A must have plant for any household! Cheers!

I went to Mason House Gardens on their first day of opening to get more succulents. I ended up with a tray and a half full, like a kid in a candy store. I also stopped by Bonfield's place and revisited his amazing collection and came away with a few plants, too.

The Sedum "Jelly Bean" on the left and the Peperomia ferreyrae behind it are my favourites.

Totally, most of those were Colins. We put them in the greenhouse for the winter (Unheated) and they do amazing. Most of the Aloes and Agaves flowered this year.

Justin, you had some very interesting succulents in a pot when we visitied you in Victoria... I believe they were heart shaped or something bizarre. What were they??

Ian, you might die if you lived out here, there are an insane amount of succulents for sale all year long! When I lived in Arizona, the local nurseries had a selection that put most botanical gardens collections to shame. A succulent and caudiciform wonderland! CP... Well that was a whole other challenge.

Another shipment from Valley Succulents in BC. This time it's all Euphorbias. I highly recommend this vendor. Inexpensive and great quality. Far better value than the vendors at the Toronto Cactus Society's annual sale.

A few of my cacti have bloomed this summer. This one was the most spectacular - a 4" dia flower from a 4" wide cactus. There were 2 flowers. The cactus is visible behind. I don't know the species. It was dropped off at our office by someone who saw my other cacti in the window and thought we could take care of it since she was moving.

Far better value than the vendors at the Toronto Cactus Society's annual sale. Very nice. I've ordered from them in the past as well, fast responses and great service. How's the Duvalia corderoyi seeds I gave you doing? The adult plant was from Vally Succulent's stock.
