Thanks everyone! Maiden: I thought you might like this plant, I think it's got some Helish characteristics Dennis: Yes the S. 'yellow jacket' is a cute looking plant, it's actually a hybrid that has pitchers that are more elongated and upright than this tubby S. purpurea sap venosa var burkii plant but I can see the resemblance. Devon: With your talent I'm sure your Sarrs will be looking great.

Little S. purpurea ssp. venosa var. burkiiN. 'Mixta' an easy grower with impressive pitchers. S. moorei 'red' x S. 'Daniel Rudd' even nicer in person. Marked as S. oreophila 'Sand Mountain #1' x S. courtii...looks to me like it's pure oreophila S. unlabelled H. purpurascensD. 'sawtooth' clone D.'Red dragon' Some seed grown vft's Good growing.

Early Summer update. Dionaea
D. "G16" (Thanks Devon!) A couple of seeds grown VFT's (now about 1 year old) from open pollinated seed from dvg(thanks!) SarraceniaS. oreophila “Sand Mountain” x purpurea venosa var. montana
"Tawny Clone" S. rubra ssp. alabamensis x oreophila "Sand Mountain #2" S. "Scarlet Belle" flowers (w/ petals) S. rubra ssp. jonesii x "Judith Hindle" S. pupurea ssp. venosa var. montana, Transylvania CO, North Carolina. An interesting S. purpurea plant, it's the first year that it has flowered for me. It's an S. purpurea ssp. venosa plant that I believe has some distant ssp. purpurea introgression. S. purpurea ssp. venosa, Tattnall CO, Georgia Seed grown S. purpurea ssp. venosa var. burkii, Randolph CO, Georgia. S. purpurea ssp. venosa "Smurf" S. purpurea ssp. venosa var. burkii f. luteola, Seed grown S. purpurea ssp. purpureaSeed grown S. purpurea ssp. purpurea x S. purpurea var. venosa var. burkiiS. oreophila, “Cook’s Sand Mountain” heavily veined clone. S. oreophila, “Sand Mountain #2" S. flava var. flava “Gary’s Church” from Carl Mazur S. flava var. rubricorpora
Mike King clone # F22, Giant red tube, Apalachicola National Forest FL, S. flava var. artropurpurea, from Andreas Wistuba S. flava var. rubricorpora “Claret” Mike King clone # F25. S. flava var. rubricorpora Mike King clone # F124, from Donald Schnell. An insane plant!!! S. leucophyllaS. oreophila “Sand Mountain” x “Judith Hindle” ( S. purpurea ssp. v enosa x oreophila) x ( S. psitacina x purpurea ssp. purpurea) A complex but awesome hybrid. A great seed grown, open-pollinated S. oreophila hybrid Seed grown Drosera regia (Clone 1) With D. regia I don't bother taking root cuttings anymore. I simply expose a healthy root that's near the surface. I've found new growth points will grow much faster when still attached to the main root system/mother plant. Nepenthes hamata x platychila (basal) Seed grown N. izumiae(?) Thanks for looking.

I am in love with your Sarracenia! Holy crap!! You have some really nice, well grown clones. Your S. leucophllya Baldwin looks like it might have some D. psittacina in it. This is S. x (wrigleyana x leucophylla): tok1.fc2web.com/img/Nanboku/W070.jpg You can see it has a similar pitcher shape, especially at the top. It could also have some minor in it too I suppose . . . Or maybe I'm crazy and it is just S. leucophylla.

Haha thanks Devon. Yes you have good eyes. That S. leucophllya, Baldwin, CO, is now what I call my S. leucophylla w/ minor introgression, ‘giant clone’. There was a mix up in tags some years ago and I just recently clarified it with the grower I got it from. It's a great plant and I sold allot of them earlier this spring. Anyways thanks for your keen observation and the awesome VFT's of course

Haha, thanks bcmosaic. Do it! I grew up in cities and now 1/4 acre feels really cramped. Lol Avery, you mean you don't want to see pictures of my model train collection? I promise Nepenthes will be heavily featured in the next installation
