I had a problem with crispy pitchers last year-they got dried up at the tips. I noticed it happening again but only in one pot. When I was moving the pots around I noted the pot with the crispy tips was much lighter-i.e.: less water. The other two pots were much heavier. So not surprisingly the crispiness was likely due to water stress. The affected pot has much more growth in it, so the water loss was probably greater.

chrisrichard: SCAM ALERT--Don't buy from Pearl River Exotics in Georgia. What they advertise on their website IS NOT WHAT U GET!!! I've learned from my horrible experience+am sharing with everyone, so you don't get ensnared in the same trap of false advertising by them.
