It was a "poppy like leaf" and the flower stem has the fuzzyness like a poppy does ..

If you don't want it in your lawn, it's a weed. If you do, it's a charming wildflower.
A field full of it looks very impressive. Just looked it up again and it's not native, it was introduced from Europe. It's also on a few "noxious weeds" lists.

Yah i saw that when i googled . flower looks interesting Should i be digging the stuff out of the lawn? From what i saw it is considered an evasive species in some places
