Huge ! Its the biggest flower of the genus? It's the biggest flower I've ever seen on a Mexican ping. Proportionally, though, the smaller plants like P. immaculata may beat it. I have a little immaculata which Martin just sent me and it's got a flower with petals larger than the leaves. Cyclosecta also has relatively big flowers.

I had a urge to vote on the last day. So while pruning my plants in my bog I came across these seedling that was supposed to be washed away by the heavy rain. They are, well suppose to be Sarracenia courtii x courtii. Both AF ... but I guess not the only other kind they can be is Sarracenia courtii x purpurea... ya you better make sure know what you pollinate Still they grow really fast ... faster then my indoor sarracenia seedling that sprouted weeks before I saw these ones I actually think I switch the seeds, None of my indoor seedlings have any red pigment

...Hey Everyone. So here is my May entry. It is a 'typical' Dionaea that I purchased at a local shop sometime mid February (...so it is eligible per Francois' rules). Anyways, it is not so typical. It's got one weird triangle shaped trap, ...one double trapped leaf that's already developed, and another one that's coming up, and it's shooting up a flower stalk as well. I don't know if this kind of deformity is normal but I think it's kind of cool and since I don't have anything better to submit (yet), this is my entry. This monster also froze solid in my shed in March ...I'm curious what this one will be doing sometime mid August. Happy Voting, Cheers and as always......Up the Irons!!! Sorry, I completely forgot to post this in the contests thread, Hal would you please move it. Thank You

I've moved all the Plant of the Month threads back to General Plant Discussion from Contests because Maiden can't create threads in Contests.
Sorry for the confusion.
We are planning to clean the board up in the near future.
