Great plant. I don't find a problem transplanting cephs. Often the plant separates naturally into a number of plants. Just be patient and every piece should do well.

Thanks guys. I'll try and replant/separate it this spring. Hal, it's in a 50 gallon aquarium under spiral compact bulbs. I took advice from here and mounded up the substrate.

Thanks for the link shoggoths! I might try a few leaf and pitcher pullings before I try transplanting, just as a backup.

Thanks Devon. I have no idea what I'm doing with it, but apparently it's happy.

...there's a really good video on dividing Cephalotus on YouTube. I don't have the link but the posters name is jerjack or jerrjack. I got my first live Ceph 2 days ago and divided it up right away. It's a really good video, check it out and you will tame your beast. Really nice Ceph by the way.
Cheers!

I'm still hoping my Heldros seeds germinate... Tried stratification on some, GA3 on some, some straight onto chopped lfs. No luck so far. The lfs is growing some great algae though. If I was an algae farmer (do those exist?), I'd be doing awesome. I think this is the video: m.youtube.com/watch?v=v0VbYl2zGbQ

As it is the only one I got I didn't mark who it was from, I'm going to say yes vraev. I just pulled 3 pitchers from it to try and propagate it. If they strike, I'm going to try transplanting and splitting it up. It's about time I spread some decent plants on to other people here. Thanks cory! It loves something I'm doing, since it's grown much faster than I was expecting.

I was quite surprised as to how fast some of mine have grown. I also have been surprised how slow some sub species have grown. They are all in the same conditions and they are not the same growth rate by far.
