This little guy has been growing good since I got it in Sept 2012. I'm running into an issue though. I'ts been growing under a dome, and the last pitcher is VERY close to the dome. The next one will likely be OK since it will be facing the opposite direction, but the following on will most likely grow right into it. I haven't had the guts to take the dome off for more than a few hours so far. It's growing on the windowsill, so it's not particularly humid there. What are my best options for this plant in the future? This is when first purchased in Sept '12. www.flickr.com/photos/119804824@N04/13020033775/Here's a pic from today. www.flickr.com/photos/119804824@N04/13020251144/And here's the dome. www.flickr.com/photos/119804824@N04/13020169074/Every pitcher is about 50% larger than the previous one, and I'm getting about one pitcher every month. Since starting work on the basement this winter we've had an explosion of centipedes down there, so it's been well fed this winter. On another note, Imagshack wants me to pay to upload new photos, so I'm using Flickr, but can't seem to add images like I could with Imageshack.

Do you have a link for them lloyd? I can't recall ever seeing anything up here that would fit pots this size. Any terrarium is in the 4" high mark max.

They have them at a local hydroponic shop. High enough for most indoor CP's. There's pictures on the OCPS.

Hi James - Nice little plant you got there! Well cared for and looking good. I'm still thinking of entering the world of Heli's, and minor will probably be my first species. I hope I do as well as you. Thanks for sharing!

Thanks Apoplast! If I can grow it, anyone can. Give it a shot. It's a beautiful plant.

Hello
Its a fact, heliamphora minor is a very easy grower.
From your last picture, i still can see a lot of space for your plant.
I grow all my heliamphora minor var minor in propagation domes. Have a look to sunblasterlighting.com
Many growers just put their helis in old aquariums. This can be a good way to keep your RH℅ High. You can add 2-3 t5 tubes over this, and your plants will thrive if you have a good watering routine.

Thanks maiden. I actually have a lot of my cp's in an old 50 gallon that I wasn't using. I'm running out of room in it though. I'd love to have it open top on the windowsill, but we aren't exactly a humid area here, and I'm not trying it with my only heli. I'll get up a new picture when the next pitcher is up all the way.

Thanks for the links! We have no hydroponics store here anymore. Closest one is four hours away in the US.

Nice progress!
Flickr recently made it easier to post pictures. Clcik on your pic, then on the share button, and then copy the link from the pin thing on the right.

Mhmm I cannot find any hydro store in TB, but you have a pizza pizza restaurant. Yum For your hydroponic needs, you will have to buy online.
