Hi, I'm new to all this. Could someone advise what would be good for a novice CP lover. I have a bit of a green thumb when it comes to other plants but have never dealt with ones that could bite it off!!!!! Seriously cant get CP around here so was thrilled to find this sight. Would love to get started with some.

Drosera capensis is a great starter. Interesting and easy from seed. Also Drosera tokaiensis (from bits of somebody's plant). If you get hooked on these, you could "branch" out.

BCP is indeed great, especially if you want some uncommon or rare plants to add to your collection.

Devon that would be wonderful, unfortunately I cant find anyone around here that has CP that I can get cuttings from and non of our two greenhouses has such things. That's small town living for you. Anyway, any help you can give me would be greatly appreciated. How do I get payment to you?

I am trying to make a small terrarium with just dews tropical and sub-tropical right now I have some Drosera Natalensis seedlings just 5 days ago sprouted.

If your Canadian there is a carnivorous plant nursery I deal with they are nice to deal with, they even send bonus plants with orders They do require a $25.00 min purchase and its $20.00 expidited shipping fee but you get healthy fairly large plants I live in Newfoundland and they are in British Columbia and my order got to me in 3 business days, they ship all seasons except winter and send out orders on Mondays or Tuesdays so the plants received by the end of the same week. here is their site and The order form www.hawaiianbotanicals.com Attachment DeletedAttachment DeletedAttachment Deleted

Hello everyone. I'm going to be ordering from BCP this spring and was wondering if anyone wanted to join. I will probably order around May or June. They have a wonderful selection of pretty much all CP's, and their bonus plant system is pretty cool too! The cost of the phytosanitary certificate and CITES would be split evenly among participants. Should shipping be split evenly or according to what plants are ordered per person? No minimum or maximum participants, anyone can join. b4 I do anything I wanna see recent pics and a catalogue Also I do not have or use credit cards is this a problem sending a money order?]where are these people located?

Ok Thanx man is there a charge? COD or a SASE? what seedlings do you have?
I heard of a way to kill things living in the medium.either use boiling water or put damp peat in a ventilated container and microwave it for 1 minute I either case let the medium cool off then its safe to use!

I'm looking at their price list right now, they only have turions and seeds or wholesale plants available...Are they voluntarily leaving out the rest of their plants from this list when shipping season is off?! I do hope so! On a side note, I thought about ordering from Hawaiian Botanicals, possibly exclusively Nepenthes plants, but almost all species I'm interested in are ''Sold out''. I was wondering if it is typical for them to have so few available in late season, before a putative new spring import and such, or is it really that they will not have much more plants to offer in the near future? I might write to them but I figured I could ask here since I'm aware many of you have already ordered from them! thanks!
