This is a tropical ornamental milkweed which is loved by monarch butterflies. It is very easy, tall and grown as an annual in temperate climates. I grew it this year and have tons of seeds to give away. PM me your address and how many you want. They germinate well.

I can vouch that these are some plants, easy to grow, awesome bicolored flowers and can be grown year after year.
I grow them for work and butterfly love them!

This is an old thread, I know, but I'm sowing annual and perennial seeds for the garden this weekend and if you have any left, Lloyd, I'd like some.

My milkweed has done really well. I heavily planted the pot, so the growth is not high but is thick. As a result the pot looks really ornamental with nice leaves and stems with bright orange flowers.
We planted it for the monarchs and sure enough we were excited to see the first monarch which hung around for hours feeding on the flowers. Afterward my wife found 3 eggs! It's our little bit to keep the monarchs alive.

I've got groups of 3 or 4 plants in a few locations around our garden. They were about 1" tall when I planted them a month ago and they aren't much higher yet. Hope they are just laying down their roots and will take off soon. The regular milkweed that's near them is about 3' high already.
Thanks for the seeds!

Their height depends on the root space they have. My plants were thinly planted last year and were over 4' high. This year I heavily planted the pot and they are staying at about 1-2 feet high but with lush growth and lots of flowers.
